Top 10 David Lynch Films

Once addicted, always addicted! Even at his lowest moments, he makes sense. Using Nicholas Cage as a leading role on Wild At Heart was his biggest mistake. The rest is all astounding and remarkable. Lads and gals, here are my top 10 David Lynch films:

10 Wild At Heart (1990)
09 Dune (1984)
08 Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me (1992)
07 Inland Empire (2006)
06 The Straight Story (1999)
05 Blue Velvet (1986)
04 The Elephant Man (1980)
03 Eraserhead (1977)
02 Lost Highway (1997)
01 Mulholland Dr. (2001)

I gotta say that my list would be different. Dune is at the absolute bottom of mine, the only Lynch I didn't like. After that comes the nineties work (Wild at Heart, Twin Peaks, Lost Highway), which were middle of the road and semi-decent. I see however you felt differently about LH. The next 2 for me are his calmer movies (Straight Story and Elephant Man), which were well done, but not as admirable as the top 4. Inland Empire and Eraserhead come next, very good mind-effing movies, but a little too much for me. In my mind his 2 best works are Blue Velvet and Mulholland Drive, and I see you likes MD as much as I did.
